How well can AI find and quote your site?
Enter any URL for an instant GEO score. We measure how likely AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI — are to select your page as a source and quote its content, then show you exactly what to fix.
What a GEO score measures
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is SEO for AI answer engines. Instead of ten blue links, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google’s AI read pages, pick a few as sources, and quote them. Your score is the sum of four foundations, then adjusted by technical bonuses and penalties.
Structure AI can read
Structured data (Schema.org / JSON-LD), Open Graph tags and a connected entity graph — sameAs, dates, publisher — so answer engines can recognize what your page is and who stands behind it.
Content worth quoting
A real knowledge base — blog, guides, about — plus self-contained, citable paragraphs and E-E-A-T trust signals (authorship, contact, privacy) so an AI is willing to quote you.
Access, then action
Bonuses and penalties for the technical basics: HTTPS, open AI-crawler access in robots.txt, an llms.txt file. We turn every gap into a prioritized fix — and Tanjuan can implement them for you as a service.
About the GEO score tool
What is a GEO score?
A GEO (generative engine optimization) score estimates how well a web page can be discovered, selected and quoted by AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google’s AI overviews. Tanjuan’s tool scores two things — Selection (will AI pick your page as a source?) and Absorption (will AI quote your content?) — averaged into a 0–100 score.
How is the score calculated?
We fetch your page server-side and analyze it the way an answer engine would: its structured data (Schema.org / JSON-LD), Open Graph tags, knowledge content, entity signals, title and meta, domain authority, content depth, evidence (data, definitions, comparisons, steps), citable text, heading structure, llms.txt, robots.txt crawler rules and HTTPS. Each factor feeds the Selection or Absorption bucket, and the two are averaged for the final score.
Is the GEO score tool free?
Yes. The checker is completely free, runs instantly, and stores nothing. Enter any public URL to get a score and a prioritized list of fixes.
GEO vs SEO — what’s the difference?
SEO optimizes for ranking in a list of links; GEO optimizes for being selected and quoted inside an AI-generated answer. They overlap — clean HTML, fast HTTPS and good structure help both — but GEO adds emphasis on structured data, self-contained citable statements, concrete evidence and explicit AI-crawler access.
Why did my page fail to scan?
The most common reason is client-side rendering: if your content only appears after JavaScript runs, AI crawlers — and our scanner — see an empty shell. Server-render or prerender your content. Other causes are an unreachable URL, a non-HTML response, or a blocked request.
